What is P.I.E?

P.I.E. is a group of parents, teachers, and students working together to support the school and help with events. They meet on Tuesday evenings: September 24th, October 15th, and November 19th, so be sure to show up if you are interested!

P.I.E provides volunteers for Student Government events such as the Career Fair, which is on October 21st, and they also do a parking lot cleanup every so often to get rid of weeds and keep everything clean. Parents of P.I.E also help out on Valentine’s Day, which is also Teacher Appreciation Day, by providing a pot luck for them. Other events are Coffee with Mr. Lynch on October 2nd.

If you require any other information please email Ms. Romero at [email protected].

P.I.E Meeting

It was quite a turnout at the first P.I.E meeting of the 2019-2020 school year. Lots of new parents showed up at this meeting, and a few returning parents from previous years. To break the ice at this meeting, the coordinator, Kelly McCloskey-Romero, had the parents go around and share out their name and their favorite pie they like to eat. Then the P.I.E. Navigators gathered the parents into small groups and they talked about the school, the tech and computers, grades, and much more. Echo was a main topic that was discussed within these groups and how they could use it to check in on the students, and what is going on in their classes. The parents also had a concern about extra curricular activities, such as sports and band, which Principle David Lynch answered. They also had questions on clubs that go on after school, and at the current time there are a few set clubs, but some are formed during the school year and they come and go.
