Everyone has been late, and we all know how embarrassing it can be. This is especially when you come into a quiet classroom and everyone turns to look at you. Here are some tips for getting to school on time to prevent that from happening.

Tip #1 – Set an alarm, we know this one is obvious, but the classic excuse is, “my alarm didn’t go off.” So always double-check that your alarm is on the night before, and set multiple if needed. 

Tip #2 – Plan an outfit the night before. Waking up and realizing you have nothing to wear is always stressful, and can make you late if you spend a lot of time searching for an outfit, so plan what you’re going to wear and set it out the night before.

Tip #3 – Make a lunch and or breakfast the night before. Making food the night before can save you a ton of time in the morning, and you can make sure you have a good healthy meal, which rushing can ruin.

Tip #4 – Get your bag ready the night before. Charge your computer, put your ID in your bag, make sure you have all the books you need and all your homework is put away in your backpack. This will make it easier in the morning, all you have to remember is to grab your computer before you go. 

Tip #5 – Lastly, make a mental checklist. When you’re waking up and getting dressed, start to think of what you need to do next and check things off as you go. This will help you not forget anything and not have to turn around in the morning to get missing supplies.
