Time Travel and the Future

Many people have different ideas and beliefs about time travel, some saying it’s possible, and some saying that it is impossible. Let’s clear this up for you all. Time travel is possible, but only into the future. Albert Einstein developed the theory called Special Relativity, and this theory states that space and time are really aspects of the same thing, known as space-time. Space-time is a combination of the 3-dimensions of space, and the 1-dimension of time, making a fourth dimension continuum. Let me simplify a bit more. Light travels at the speed limit of 186,000 miles per second. This is insanely impossible to travel at the speed of light.

Einstein’s theory of relativity states that we can travel to the future, if we went at 99.5% of the speed of light, having 5 birthdays in space-time is equal to about 50 years passing on earth.

Traveling at 100% the speed of light is impossible because time wouldn’t exist and therefore all of time has passed. Not only is it impossible to travel at the speed of light, but it can be dangerous. When we build the first time machine, we can only move forward in time and not back, because there is no way to receive us in the past. When we first start a time machine, we don’t know what could possibly come out of it.

The Future
There are infinite possibilities of the future and what could happen. It is ignorant to assume what the future holds, as you are always one decision away from a totally different life. We all have thought the world would end because of how we have ruined our ecosystem. However we now know that the ozone layer is repairing itself, giving us a little more time to live if we keep taking care of our planet. The future is unpredictable and we will never know for sure what will happen, as it is called a ‘prediction.’
