The Nex+Gen World Languages Club has had a very active semester!  We meet on Tuesdays at lunch in room 104, where we celebrate languages and cultures from all over the world.  So far this semester, we’ve done the following:

Annick Ambrose started us off, teaching us all to make Dolmas, grape leaves stuffed with rice, a delicacy throughout the Middle East.

Daphne Law was next, giving a fascinating presentation about the Chinese Territories:

Then Lindsey Hemmert, Aaron Hemmert (Nex+Gen junior)’s mom, came and shared about her experience studying abroad in France:

Mark Koshkin, class of 2020, gave a riveting presentation about growing up in a Russian-American family:

Then we celebrated Mexico with a presentation by Jesús Aguilar (class of 2019), Adriana Alonso (class of 2020), and Francisco Frias (class of 2020):

Sofia Chavez and Munia Omer, both class of 2019, presented about the connections between Spanish and Arabic, of which there are many!

Then Ms. Mancha-García came with her mother, father, and brother to present about life in a Cuban-American family… It was amazing!

Stay tuned for more exciting World Language Club celebrations:
