The Essentials of Upadaria

Read Time:10 Minute, 43 Second

To identify as a Upadarian, as a peer of Upadaria, is to embrace our vision, our shared purpose, our ideals, our principles, our practices, the concept of nine governments, and the 17 Protocols of Upadaria.

Everyone who chooses, between God and themselves alone, to become a peer of Upadaria is eligible for the blessings God reserves for nations whose God is the Lord and comes within the sacred boundaries, pomerium in our lingo, of that spiritual nation.

We are a spiritual nation defined by these things and we are not defined by race, ancestry, or political citizenship. Anyone, anywhere in the world who follow Yeshua can become a Upadarian by simply choosing to adopt this identity and way of life as a commitment solely between themselves and God.

Our Vision- Our vision has three aspects; the birth of a new spiritual nation, the global emergence of a new civilization, and actualization of the Kingdom Age among the Elect.

Birth of a new nation- we envision a new spiritual nation whose peers are distributed all over the world in the form of distributed cities and extended households and that is defined by the ideals, principles, practices, and mandates they freely adopt.

Emergence of a new civilization- we envision a coming new civilization whose ideals are explicitly based on Kingdom essentials which will transcend the dying civilizations of this era.

Actualization of the Kingdom Age- we envision the Body of Christ walking in the reality and possibilities of the Kingdom Age which is upon us.

Our Shared Purpose- We seek together to promote, nurture, and build tools, resources, and structures, as well as institutions, in support of Kinship, Missions, and Refuge through freewill participation which also enhances the fulfillment of our individual, God-given scroll of destiny and purposes as well as our shared scroll of destiny and purpose as a nation of people whose God is the Lord.

Our Kinship Mandate- We advance spiritual kinship that is rooted in the ancient Biblical model for family, extended family, and community.

Our Missions Mandate- We promote holistic missionary activity and a missional lifestyle as a witness and influence for Yeshua to the nations.

Our Refuge Mandate- We aim to provide places of refuge and means and resources for mutual support and disaster preparedness both for ourselves and for Christian asylum seekers and people in crisis.

Our Core Ideals- Our interactions, relationships, associations, communities, and governance are guided by a Judeo-Christian understanding and fair and balanced application of the four core ideals of a new civilization, which include Unity in diversity, Popular sovereignty, Democratic equality, and Rule of law.

Our Core Principles- we are guided in our purposes and in our interactions by the core principles of our nation as a spiritual nation whose God is the Lord and these include the principles of our social ethic, our social vision, our freedom essentials, and our prosperity precepts.

Our Social Ethic- We believe we must all respect the human dignity, human rights, and human flourishing of others through an ethic that upholds and protects the well-being, autonomy, and justice each human being is owed because they are made in the very image of God.

Our Social Vision- We envision a free and pluralistic society of equals in the greater society and a society based on freewill participation among ourselves which utilizes the principles of consensus, sustainability, and cooperation for the individual and common good.

Our Freedom Essentials- We believe the essence of freedom is civic and moral virtue, liberty as defined by the original spirit and intent of the US Bill of Rights, and independence through individual and mutual self-reliance, self-determination, and self-preservation.

Our Prosperity Precepts- Prosperity comes through a free and fair market based on individual and participatory ownership with a guarantee of access to investment, land, ownership, and protection primarily through a free, fair, just, and mutually profitable exchange but also through mutual assurance and private, voluntary benevolence.

Our Core Practices- Our practices in how we live and act are guided by our understanding of the four core elements of the Kingdom of God as manifested among humanity and as expressed through human civilization.

These elements include the Ecclesium, the Ethnium, the Oikosium, and the Koinonium. Each has a primary core ideal, although all are governed by all four core ideals, such a Unity in diversity for Ecclesium, Popular sovereignty for Ethnium, Democratic equality for Oikosium, and Rule of law for Koinonium. Every structure and institution is defined by its operation in relation to one or more of these elements.

We practice Ecclesium- We see the Ecclesium as a spiritual city-state of the Elect and the spiritual sovereignty of each Believer (regency). Ecclesium comes from the word EKKLESIA in Greek which is often transated as “church” but which implies a deeper and broader universal community of all Believers but also the principles and concepts of a distributed city within an area of multiple cities.

We practice Ethnium- We see Ethnium as a form of spiritual nationhood based on freewill participation. The word Ethnium comes from the Greek word ETHNE and describes the realm governed by a body of people of the same national identity and their self-determination. Diverse nations are ordained by God. Ethnium also describes the concept of a universal form of nationhood shared by all Believers which is our core shared identity.

We practice Oikosium- We see Oikosium as the familial community of an extended multi-family household for mutual support.

We practice Koinonium- We see Koionium of freewill participatory association for shared purposes and a common good.

The Nine Governments- The concept of “nine governments” basically says the decision-making processes, the stakeholders, and the functions of governance should reflect the primary type of mission and purpose envisioned. The nine governments are Regium, Magiesterium. Ethnium. Governate, Societas, Civitas, Agorate, Comunis, and Ecclesium.

Our nine governments, as a concept, include Regium as the unifying and charter power, Magisterium as the magistrate and chief protector of the people, Ethnium as the sociocultural and spiritual authority preserving the way of life of a people, the Governate as the chief civil power, the Civitas and the chief civic power, the Agorate as the chief economic authority, the Societas as the chief social authority, the Comunis as the social services authority, and the Ecclesium as representing the faith community.

The 17 Protocols of Upadaria

We use the 17 Protocols of Upadaria both to fulfill our own individual God-given scroll of destiny and purpose for our lives and our shared scroll of destiny and purpose as a nation of people whose God is the Lord.

1. Kingdom Nationhood

WE ARE REGENTS OF YESHUA, THE CHRIST AND CITIZENS OF HIS KINGDOM Fulfilling our Regency as Kings, Priests, and joint-Heirs with Yeshua in His Kingdom is something we seek daily through practicing fellowship with all Believers where we live, work, and worship. We exercise our spiritual sovereignty and fulfill God’s best for our lives with excellence.

2. The New Civilization

A NEW CIVILIZATION OF BELIEVERS EMERGES AS OLD CIVILIZATIONS FALTER Understanding times and seasons and cycles and patterns allows us to see that we are living in a time of visitation. The existing paradigms have resulted in a centralized corpostate that politicizes all aspects of society, such as a church system and culture that is limited by religion and Western practices. These will be lawfully and peacefully transcended over time as the new civilization emerges.

3. The Spiritual Nation

WE ARE A SPIRITUAL NATION OF PEOPLE WHOSE GOD IS THE LORD God ordains the nations and calls them into being. His Word establishes the boundaries of their habitation and time of their existence. We believe God has called and ordained us to be Peers of a new spiritual nation, defined by spiritual sovereignty, whose God is the Lord.

4. Living Nationhood

NATIONHOOD IS A PATH TO FULFILL GOD’S RIGHTEOUS STANDARDS THROUGH IDEALS, PRINCIPLES, PRACTICES, AND MANDATES As kingdom essentials are honored and practiced personally, relationally, and professionally, righteousness will exalt our nation.

5. Living Regency

WE EXERCISE OUR INDIVIDUAL AND CORPORATE REGENCY TO PROVIDE A REFUGE TO OURSELVES AND OTHERS As Believers, by practicing individual and corporate Regency through the framework of our spiritual nation, we serve as Kings and Priests who sovereignly steward all God has entrusted through a network of trust communities called Shires.

6. A Trust Community

WE PRACTICE THE WAYS OF A TRUST COMMUNITY CENTERED ON YESHUA, THE CHRIST Through building intentional community, Believers can connect with others for mutual profit, support, empowerment, liberation, and fulfillment of individual and shared purpose.

7. The Shirehold

WE INTENTIONALLY PRACTICE EXTENDED KINSHIP  People are not made to be isolated and separated. Life in the Kingdom is not just about what we do individually, but how we live with others. Our lifestyle is an expression of agape love in family, community, and collaboration. A Shirehold is an intentional multifamily extended household community in close geographical proximity.

8. The Kinship Mandate

WE IMPART THE PRACTICES AND VIRTUE OF KINSHIP We form small, extended familial groups and practice mutual care and support with our relatives, fellow Upadarians, and fellow Believers according to a Biblical blueprint. We refer to these as Kinship Groups wherein we view the success and well-being of those we are connected to as equally important as our own.

9. The Missionary Mandate

WE PURSUE MISSIONAL LIVES AND SUPPORT WORLD MISSIONS We embrace a holistic approach as witnesses in word, deed, and influence. We seek to live as examples of the gospel, support those carrying the gospel, and distribute the benefits of the gospel to the oppressed.

10. The Refuge Mandate

WE PROVIDE REFUGE FOR OURSELVES AND OTHERS We provide refuge in emergency and crisis situations by offering security, safety, and medical supplies and services for ourselves and those we grant refuge to, especially fellow Christians. Everyone who flies our flag is committed to providing refuge to people in need and aiding refugees by connecting them with local resources

11. Heavenly Blueprints

WE BUILD STRUCTURES AND PHYSICIAL SPACES THAT REFLECT HEAVEN’S BLUEPRINTS The very design of our spaces and structures where we live, work, or gather facilitate healthy, living, and prosperous relationships and associations which occur within them.

12. Fulfilling The Revolution Within

WE GROW IN WISDOM TO FULFILL GOD’S BEST FOR OUR LIVES The Revolution Within is inspired by a commitment to learn “line upon line” and “precept upon precept.” Maturation involves moving beyond milk to meat to actualize our purposes and bolster the Kingdom.

13. The Marriage Covenant

WE ARE DEVOTED TO BOTH THE UNIVERSAL MARRIAGE TO YESHUA, THE CHRIST AND OUR MARRIAGES We believe that the purpose of marriage is to reflect the relationship of Yeshua, the Christ to His Beloved and to be the means by which a man and woman reflect the divine model of love in covenant.

14. Family Honor

WE ARE COMMITTED AND CONNECTED TO OUR NUCLEAR FAMILY, RELTTIVES, INTENTIONAL KIN, AND FELLOW BELIEVERS The people in our circle of closest relationships, from relatives to those we choose to adopt into our family, should be honored and cared for as God gives us the means and opportunity to. This honor begins with our nuclear family and continues to our close relatives and others in our inner circle of relationships.

15. The Duty To Progeny

WE NURTURE OUR PROGENY AND BUILD FOR THEIR FUTURE We have a sacred duty to build up and nurture our spiritual and physical descendants and leave them a birthright of value and worth.  We impart our beliefs, values, and convictions so they may find God if they seek him. We build structures that will benefit future generations for centuries to come.

16. Our Gideon’s Call

WE PROCLAIM OUR VISION FOR A SPIRITUAL NATION TO THOSE WHO WOULD ANSWER THE CALL In the Book of Judges, Gideon called and over 30,000 answered. God chose only 300 to take the first step toward liberating Israel from the Midianites before the rest of the nation rejoined them. Likewise, we broadcast the call and offer the resources needed to be a Peer of our spiritual nation. The call to Peerage is between God and the individual alone.

17. Fulfilling Our Scroll

WE STRIVE TO FULFILL GOD’S BEST FOR OUR LIVES WITH EXCELLENCE The scroll of our life is a gift from God reflecting our unique identities in Yeshua, the Christ. Each scroll was written non-linearly before natural birth. It is the guiding “wyrd” we are invited to daily align our willful intents with. In accordance with our scroll, we aim to empower ourselves and others through intimacy with God.
